MARCH 2021

That means up to 95% of resources used during your visit will be diverted from landfill and sent for repurposing.

  • All aluminium products, cardboard, paper magazines, razor blades, unwanted tools, glass and selected disposables are sold for recycling with the proceeds donated to KiwiHarvest to provide meals for those in need.
  • Any leftover chemicals will be recycled into water and used in construction/road works.
  • Plastic product bottles, packaging and bags are recycled into new products and kept out of our oceans.
  • Cut off hair will support charitable causes such as oil spill clean-up projects, local community gardens and charitable wig making services.
  • Once our tools reach the end of their life, they will be broken down and all valuable parts will be repurposed.

Bliss is working towards being more sustainable through product choices too. This year we have added two new rangers of products:

    • Pureology – A luxury haircare range that leaves your hair feeling amazing and cares about our planet.  Pureology is sulphate and paraben free, vegan and the packaging is made from 95% post-consumer recycled materials.
    • The Body Bakery –  We stock a range of bath bombs, sugar scrubs, beard oil and balms from The Body Bakery. This range is created by a New Zealand mum whose son suffers from eczema and cannot use many products. Everything is formulated with the gentlest ingredients and packed into environmentally friendly packaging.

So each time you visit our salon you can feel good about doing good!
